It is with a heavy heart that we tell you that FACT was the victim of a serious break in on Thursday 13 June.
💔IRO £60,000 worth of damage has been caused in our new support centre. From IT equipment, carpets, doors off hinges, furniture and structural damage where they have ripped plasterwork off the walls and broken up through our roof tiles.
😢They have damaged and contaminated food for our Kindness Kits, toys towards our Christmas Appeal, wigs, mastectomy wear, prosthesis, our information leaflets, crockery, catering equipment, donations of raffle prizes and clothes etc for our charity shop, and so much more.
💔For the first time in 16 years we have had to suspend our services while we clean up and make repairs. Even covid didn’t stop us!
🤞We hope to reopen in some way on Wednesday but this will take us a very long time to recover from and to begin to repair and replace our building, equipment and resources.
🙏The perpetrators have been arrested and charged and we want to thank the police, fire service and Advance Fire & Security for their swift response as this could have been even worse.
